Providence Health & Services Strategic Implementation Associate Project Manager in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Strategic Implementation Associate Project Manager to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Strategic Implementation Associate Project Manager to be responsible for implementing and managing projects and processes that are small in scope and complexity from planning phase through transition to operations. Additionally, this role will support the Executive Director and other members of the Strategic Implementation team on large, cross-functional and cross-regional system initiatives and related projects. This position fills a key position for Strategic Implementation function, flexibly supporting project and operational needs for our customers in the form of project management and coordination support, presentation preparation, and other management and decision support tasks as needed, flexibly responding to needs and enhancing the internal capability within the organization to support change. Strategic Services customers include members of Executive Council, Shared Services Leadership Council, Regional Leadership Council, Clinical Council, and other System leaders and groups.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead development of executive chartered projects/initiatives from planning phase through transition to operations using combination of project management, change management, facilitation, and business management expertise for initiatives smaller in scope and complexity. Work with PSJH leaders to develop and document charters, objectives and metrics, action plans, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, and monitoring systems. Ensure tracking of financial, human, and technical objectives for each project. Provide project status reporting to executive sponsor, initiative owner, project team, and other stakeholders as requested. Develop project-specific escalation and issue management protocols.
Set up and lead multi-disciplinary work teams. Ensure effective communication, training, and post-implementation support strategies are created and implemented among all stakeholder groups.
Assist the Executive Director and Strategic Implementation team members with project development and management including conducting background research, entering data, scheduling meetings and taking notes, developing and reviewing presentations, and writing meeting summaries. Support team to engage stakeholders in solving problems of varying complexity. Utilize change management and performance improvement tools. Build awareness and commitment to the change effort, and leads the ongoing communications and alignment of stakeholders throughout the process. Conduct post-initiative assessments and makes recommendations for improvement based on those assessments.

Support management of projects, programs, and portfolio by developing, maintaining, and supporting portfolio/program/project management software and other tools.
Contribute as an active member of the Strategic Implementation team by facilitating some team meetings, offering reflections, developing templates and processes, and providing input on goals and planning.
Share best practices with other members of the Strategic Implementation team and Strategic Services department as a way of improving upon the collective development of team members.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Two years of previous project management, program support, consulting, and/or business analysis experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in healthcare operations for an understanding of the nature of the work performed.
Change management, facilitation, and process improvement methodologies with project management experience in complex, multi-regional systems.
