Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a SR. Data Analyst, Mental Health Strategy to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a SR. Data Analyst, Mental Health Strategy to bring disparate data sources together to produce timely insights, presentations and recommendations in a consistent manner to drive regional efforts to improve the mental health of PSJH populations and communities. This includes making and receiving data requests across the system; integrating datasets as needed for reporting; as well as working with analytic resources to ensure accurate, actionable, and timely reporting for reports, presentations, and other formats to inform sound decision-making.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Transverse multiple datasets, sources and systems, including but not limited to: community health data, electronic medical record (EMR) encounters, financial and costing data, medical claims, provider/clinician licensing data, as well as social determinant of health (SDOH) data.
Create visualizations of the data to tell the story of the Mental Health Improvement work, including processes and outcomes.
Interact effectively with multiple data teams and have the skills and abilities to integrate necessary data sources and work with partners to ensure accurate, actionable, and timely reporting.
Speak both the data and business language to digest and interpret data sources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Health administration, Public health, computing epidemiology, statistics or related field.
At least 5 years of leading change initiatives across large organizations that address the needs of at-risk and vulnerable populations, particularly those experiencing mental health or substance use concerns.
A minimum of 7 years of experience with databases and the ability to manipulate and query large data sets.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Health administration, Public health, computing epidemiology, statistics or related field.
At least 5 years of working to improve the care and outcomes of patient populations that are under value-based care agreements and have significant social determinant of health concerns, such as Medicaid or Dual eligible populations.
At least 5 years of Healthcare experience, preferably in the delivery of behavioral health and social services in varied care settings, including but not limited to: acute, ambulatory, community, home, and primary care.
At least 5 years’ experience establishing change structures and governance entities that enable improvement across health organizations undergoing significant marketplace disruption.
