Providence Health & Services Senior Strategy Analyst, PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Strategy Analyst, PSJH to Providence Strategic and Management Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Strategy Analyst, PSJH to be responsible for providing assistance with strategic planning and data analysis functions, including leading the reporting metric results, conducting analyses, summarizing findings and tracking performance. Working closely with the Executive Director and Sr. Manager, Strategy & Planning, and the Regional / Shared Service Strategy leaders and their respective teams, you also will provide guidance, project management and analytical support for strategy and analytical endeavors. You will work with latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment, but also will work collaboratively with other members of the team.
In this position you will:
In alignment and support of the PSJH Integrated Strategic & Financial Plan (ISFP), provide project and/or facilitation support for strategic planning efforts (e.g. System, Regions, Service Lines / Lines of Business / Clinical Institutes, Other), as assigned.
Assist in preparations for strategy-related events, meetings and summits.
Design, develop and implement PSJH performance reporting and monitoring capabilities, including implementing and maintaining performance measurement tools and techniques, managing routine reporting and tracking efforts (e.g. PSJH metric dashboards, strategic goal-specific dashboards and reports), and preparing ad hoc quantitative and qualitative reports and interactive dashboards.
Maintain working knowledge of health care market trends and stay abreast of the evolving health care landscape; in partnership with the PSJH Analytics function, develop environmental assessments to summarize and communicate evolving trends.
Work at all times to ensure data integrity, accuracy and resolution of data / reporting issues with stakeholders.
Identify data sources, transform disparate data into a usable format, understand relational databases, and develop system-wide analytic solutions.
Prepare reports and presentations based on analyses for use in strategic planning activities.
Develop and analyze market research information to develop intelligence reports and related forecasting tools.
As needed, provide Certificate of Need (CN) project facilitation and/or technical support for PSJH leaders.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Planning, Finance or a related discipline
Five (5) plus years of experience in health care, planning, business development, finance or a closely related field with demonstrated expertise in the use of computers and electronic systems for data extraction and analysis
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Planning, Finance or a related discipline
Three (3) years’ experience with health care planning and an understanding of the health care industry, operations, and reimbursement is preferred.
Three (3) years’ training and experience in GE’s Change Acceleration Process (CAP), Work-out, Six Sigma and/or a comparable process improvement discipline is considered valuable
Experience with regulatory processes and/or Certificate of Need
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet timelines
Strong communication skills, including ability to use remote communication tools and technology to foster effective working relationships, project management, engagement and strong performance
Strong communication skills with ability to present complex information orally, in written form, and/or graphically to a wide range of audiences.
Extensive experience with Windows-based software such as Microsoft Office, Excel or similar software, word processing, and presentations
Experience with Access, SQL, or similar databases, database design and maintenance, data transformation and validation/QA.
Experience with data analytics platforms & tools (e.g. Tableau, Mapping/GIS, etc.)
Capable of analyzing and organizing data in a manner that is easy to understand and to make recommendations based on the data
Experience designing, developing and analyzing survey tools
