Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Program Manager, HR Strategic Initiatives PSJH. This position works 100% remotely and is open to candidates residing in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon or California.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager, HR Strategic Initiatives to lead large, complex workforce initiatives and virtual teams through the full lifecycle of project management, from discovery through implementation and business value delivery. They will provide program leadership, thought partnership, analysis, and strategic decision-making support to initiative sponsors and teams to ensure sustainable and scalable user-centric solutions are developed and implemented to successfully realize business outcomes and drive change. The senior program manager will employ a flexible and disciplined approach to lead large, complex initiatives, enabling project teams to consistently achieve big outcomes in support of our workforce strategy. The senior program manager is a strategic individual contributor ensuring we successfully focus and activate the organization to solve our most complex people challenges and accelerate business outcomes in support of the Mission and growth.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Partner with leaders to translate high level strategies into charters, objectives, metrics, action plans, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, and monitoring systems for large, complex workforce initiatives.
Lead virtual program and project teams through discovery, design, management, implementation, and measurement of business value for large, complex workforce initiatives using a combination of analytical, project management, change management, facilitation, and business/human resources expertise.
Develop initiative-specific implementation plans and manages activities against the plans. Set up and leads multi-disciplinary work teams. Ensures effective communication, training, and post-implementation support strategies are created and implemented among all stakeholder groups.
Provide agenda planning, meeting facilitation, and action-item tracking to efficiently and effectively advance initiative objectives.
Ensure tracking of financial, human, and technical objectives for each initiative. Provide initiative status reporting to executive sponsor, initiative owner, project team, and other stakeholders as requested. Develops project-specific escalation and issue management protocols.
Engage stakeholders in solving problems of varying complexity. Partner with HR Strategy team to develop strategic analysis, assessments, and business cases/plans.
Partner with subject matter experts and HR experience strategists and designers to ensure development and implementation of sustainable and scalable user-centric solutions to successfully realize business outcomes and drive change.
Drive continuous improvement and integrates industry best practices to improve speed to business outcomes. Conducts post-initiative assessments and makes recommendations for improvement based on those assessments. Shares best practices with other members of the HR Strategy & Solutions team as a way of improving upon the collective development of team members.
Advance the project/program/change management and innovation competencies within human resources through proactive identification, mentoring, training, and spread of effective program management and user-centered design tools, systems, and structures.
Partner with internal and external Project Management Offices (PMOs) as appropriate.
Perform other duties and special projects as required and assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR Administration or related.
6 or more years years professional experience with HR, program or project management, project strategy and implementation background.
6 or more years years d emonstrated experience with independent decision making, complex facilitation, agile project management, change management, mentoring, developing and delivering training.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior Experience in a large, geographically dispersed, multi-state organization.
Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification or recognized equivalent.
Project Management Professional Certification.
