Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Finance Manager PSJH to our location in Renton, WA.
Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), a $25B health system, is seeking a motivated, mission focused, results-driven, and enthusiastic Senior Finance Manager PSJH to play an integral role in our healthcare transformation journey. This position will be a part of a newly formed financial analytics team and will assist in modernization of our current analysis approach by designing, creating, and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge to drive diversified growth opportunities, insights into current performance, and recommendations to system-wide collaborative groups of clinical leaders and administrative executives. As we continue to move to a patient centric, digitally enabled health care model utilizing strategic partnerships and new sources of revenue, the need to understand and effectively communicate value creation drivers and sustainable financial strategies is paramount to delivering the PSJH mission. Ultimately, the Senior Manager will enhance our business intelligence capabilities to help Providence make better, more informed, decisions. The Analytics team is a high-impact, high-visibility team tackling some of the hardest questions and analysis within the organization.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work through ambiguity, proactively solve problems, drive data-driven insights to inform decision making and resource allocation and importantly, influence business decision-making at the Vice President level. The candidate should not be satisfied with the status quo and always focus on how to advance our current processes and redesign the approaches we currently take today.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead the development of actionable insights and analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats to inform and empower senior leadership across the organization.
Participate in the annual planning, target setting, and forecast process to provide advanced insights and business transformation direction
Present executive quality financial and operational performance insights to leadership teams. This includes monitoring and analyzing business health, P&L trends and key drivers across the system, regions, and lines of businesses.
Build a portfolio of analytical processes and deliverables aimed at proactively identifying and monitoring business risks and opportunities as well as value-creating business insights.
Deliver comprehensive P&L analysis, insights and forward-looking guidance to senior management, rating agencies, and the board of directors. This work directly impacts how stakeholders perceive the financial outlook for PJSH.
Proactively analyze trends both external and internal to qualify potential risks and opportunities to our business operations
Collaborate with analysts to build necessary data sets, visualizations and analyses to craft impactful stories to influence decisions across the health system.
Design and implement self-service business intelligence capabilities (i.e. Tableau and Power BI views) for the organization around financial and operating performance and drivers.
Contribute to the creation of FP&A best practices for planning, forecasting, and analytics.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
8 years closely related finance experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related business field.
Certified Public Accountant, HFMS or FACHE certifications.
