Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Enterprise Citrix Systems Administrator PSJH to our location in Renton WA, Seattle WA, Beaverton OR, Olympia WA or Portland OR.

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Citrix Systems Administrator PSJH to focus on the role of the Citrix software suite in the enterprise and how it can help achieve strategic goals and objectives. They leverage their deep technical expertise to routinely lead troubleshooting efforts, design sessions, projects/initiatives, and other bodies of work related to the Citrix software suite. They also mentor and develop the Associate, and Intermediate level members of their team. They work independently with other Information Services (IS) professionals (e.g. Operational, Engineering, Architecture, and Application teams) applying their specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to ensure the Citrix software suite is optimized for the delivery of clinical and business services in support of the IS Strategic Plan. Ensuring this level of optimization requires close work with clinical and non-clinical caregivers, project managers, and other Information Services professionals in order to enumerate requirements from these various groups of stakeholders. The Senior Enterprise Citrix Systems Administrator uses their expert knowledge of the Citrix software suite to autonomously determine the optimal configuration of the various components of the suite and then configures them in the manner they determine best meets requirements. In the course of their work, they also author new or modify existing documentation related to the Citrix software suite. Finally, they serve as an in-house, operational escalation point for troubleshooting systems experiencing complex issues and as well as developing and implementing solutions for these complex issues.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level optimization of the Citrix software suite to support requirements for clinical and non-clinical services.

  • Research and resolve technical issues related to the Citrix software suite and participate/lead problem resolution efforts.

  • Provides technical peer review and consulting services.

  • Mentor and coach junior-level team members.

  • Author clear, concise and complete communications for change, incident and problem management.

  • Plan, research, and design solutions in support of strategic plans or clinical/business requirements.

  • Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and peers to develop enterprise-wide technical standards and roadmaps.

  • Estimates infrastructure component costs with vendors and internal technology resources for current and proposed projects.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent education/experience.

  • 6 years related experience.

  • Expert in Citrix software suite including highly available configurations, client configurations, ICA protocol optimization, server side optimization, security hardening, and enterprise printing configuration.

  • Exceptionally proficient in troubleshooting and resolving Citrix software suite connectivity and software failures. Added ability to be exceptionally proficient at directing local staff in support of remote problem resolution.

  • Looks at the big picture, and the future possibilities as well as the details of the current issue and determines how the Citrix software suite can solve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform effective monitoring, analysis and backup and recovery procedures.

  • Exceptionally proficient in Windows Client and Server operating systems including automated build and automated deployment processes.

  • Exceptionally proficient in software packaging and delivery methods.

  • Exceptionally proficient in virtual and physical networks, security concepts and industry practices.

  • Exceptionally proficient in PowerShell, C#, VBScript, or JavaScript.

  • Ability to provide project / task supervision to Associate and Intermediate level staff regarding the execution of tasks specific to performing Citrix software suite administration.

  • Experience in working with vendors to identify and resolve unknown bugs as well as recommend feature enhancements.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V).

  • Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N).
