Providence Health & Services Senior Clinical Data Analyst in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Clinical Data Analyst to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Business Analyst to provide advanced clinical business analytics for Physician Enterprise, including but not limited to the Healthy Planet work. This role will lead the analysis, validation, clinical input gathering, dashboard development, and will identify improvements. This position will be a key participant in the design of Clinical Excellence Indicators (CEI), and other clinical metrics for the PSJH medical groups. This position will participate in analysis using the Healthy Planet tool in Epic for Providence and Swedish and will support the analytical review of clinical content.
This role is a key interface with Healthcare Intelligence, and the Epic application team that will be building the technical specifications for the clinical metrics for Physician Enterprise, population health, and related tools in Epic. This position will also be a leader in representing the medical group across the system in strategic initiatives like regulatory clinical reporting (MACRA), Medicare Advantage, value based contracts and state based reporting systems. This includes leading the clinical strategic projects, providing expert consultation in clinical metrics across the system, and triage of project requests received from the field and leadership of major projects within Physician Enterprise.
In this position you will:
Analyze current clinical system processes to complete current state analysis; perform gap analysis, and develop future state standardized workflows
Provide subject matter expertise on clinical quality metric development and serves as a liaison with Healthcare Intelligence, Epic, Government Programs, Care Management, and others to analyze and report on quality measures.
Queries, reviews and analyzes data from multiple internal/external sources to create dashboards, drill down capable reports and key performance indicators
Validates the extraction, transformation and loading of source data before migration to various data repository (Clarity, Caboodle, and other databases).
Complete business analysis planning and monitoring for key stakeholder groups and provide effective communication to those groups.
Complete problem definition and analysis and assists in business case development.
Lead and facilitate group discussions to elicit customer and quality requirements for complex projects.
Document user requirements, validate requirements with business customer(s) and participate with IS colleagues in system requirement development.
Assess and validate technical solution requests and IS recommendations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or other healthcare related areas.
At least 7 years of progressive responsibility in managing projects and doing business analytics.
3-5 years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous experience with quality measures such as HEDIS
Experience extracting data in SQL
Expertise with data visualization such as Tableau
Specialized training in facilitation of diverse groups.
Project management, LEAN,CAP and other change management skills.
