Providence Health & Services Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst PSJH to one of the following locations: Beaverton, OR (preferred), Renton WA or Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support the organization and its strategic affiliates by leading the development of meaningful reporting and analytic solutions. This position will gather business needs, document requirements, identify appropriate data sources, develop and update reporting objects, provide analysis, and deliver solutions to both internal and external stakeholders. This position is also responsible for interpreting HI developed reporting and analytical solutions to help to customers in gaining insight about their areas of accountability and in making strategic decisions. This role may be responsible for mentoring other analysts in the department to help them develop efficient ways of creating reporting and analytics solutions. This role works with a diverse set of stakeholders and is responsible for leading large reporting and analytics projects across multiple regions or stakeholder groups. This position may be responsible for the development and implementation of semantic data layer objects, such as Business Objects Universes, data marts, and custom database objects, to support reporting and analytics solutions for the Providence organization. Additionally, this position will require the creation of presentation layer objects like interactive reports, scorecards, and dashboards and may be responsible for leading development efforts.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Analyze requirements for and develop and maintain complex reporting and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) solutions utilizing various tools such as Oracle, Business Objects, Toad, SQL Developer, Tableau, Lumira, & SAP HANA
Work with a diverse set of leaders, customers, and stakeholders across the organization to understand, document and outline specific requests for work. Complete as needed project charters applicable to the program/portfolio management and review process within HI
Provide project and/or program management support for potentially large scale complex projects across regions or throughout the enterprise
Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting and analytical solutions, processes and practices utilizing standard methodologies across HI
Provide guidance, coordination and assignment for HI resources assigned to projects or bodies of work relevant to the accountabilities and responsibilities of the analyst
Participation in BI solution design to support business and/or clinical operations and programs utilizing latest technologies and standard HI methodologies
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Business Management, Information Services Or equivalent educ/experience
6 years Healthcare Business Intelligence or related field specific to Business Intelligence
5 years Utilization of reporting and analytic tools and techniques
Strong SQL Development and stored procedures skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction and problem identification and resolution.
Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
Demonstrated planning and project oversight/management skills.
Ability to lead development of new, potentially innovative reporting and analytical solutions.
Experience in transformation of business requirements/specifications utilizing BI tools and methodologies into presentation solutions for customers.
Ability to lead cross function teams, coordinate resources, set timelines and deliverables for successful completion of project work.
Expertise in complex troubleshooting and problem solving, performing root cause analysis on development and production related issues.
Ability to effectively represent HI strategy and decisions to customers and leadership groups.
