Providence Health & Services Reimbursement Manager Data in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Reimbursement Manager Data to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Reimbursement Manager Data to be responsible for development of data infrastructure to support efficient, scalable execution of various strategic value added reimbursement initiatives and regulatory reporting for the system to include such initiatives as: Wage index reviews, Medicare Bad Debt optimization strategies, Medicaid Eligible Days reviews, various cost-based optimization strategies, and any reimbursement methodology related to Medicare and Medicaid that have reimbursement implications.
The Manager supports compliance with all government reimbursement regulations and ensures adequacy of internal controls related to such are periodically assessed for adequacy. The Manager is also responsible for the efficient operation of the functional team, including mentoring of staff, assessing current workloads, and providing adequate prioritization of reimbursement related projects.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
In coordination with Director and VP, develop overall data and reporting strategy for Reimbursement.
Create tools to support preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and related work papers in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Develop reporting tools to support communication of results to hospital financial leaders.
Develop, maintain, support, train and implement tools for management, analysis and monitoring of Medicare Disproportionate Share eligibility listing, Medicare bad debt listing, and contractual allowance/third party settlement models.
Perform financial analysis and provide technical support for other departments.
Manage/perform special projects and provide analytical support for Reimbursement, Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership.
Continuously monitor workload and methodologies used to achieve results, making recommendations to improve efficiency and/or achieve cost savings whenever possible.
Develop processes and infrastructure to ensure that all statutory filings are timely and accurate.
Coordinate with Regulatory Reporting team in preparation of documents for annual audits.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
7 years demonstrated experience in the data science, healthcare revenue, or business intelligence field is required in addition to expert knowledge of current analytics and reporting tools and techniques.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge of reimbursement and reporting rules and regulations.
Previous work experience in consulting, in a multi-hospital system, or MAC.
CPA or CHFP licensure.
