Providence Health & Services Program Manager, Health Insights in Renton, Washington


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Program Manager, Health Insights to our location in Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Program Manager, Health Insights to improve access to needed therapeutics and accelerate clinical trials at Providence St. Joseph Health. This is accomplished through strategic partnering with biopharma clients who share PSJH’s goals to answer clinically relevant questions and identify patient cohorts that would benefit from external partnership.

Health insights is seeking a Program Manager to directly support our external partnerships efforts from early scoping/project discovery to post contract execution and finally, project close. This position is critical in maintaining and building lasting rapport with our biopharma & medical device clients to ensure successful completion of contracted work. In addition, this position will serve as the single point of contact for the client within Providence, as well as to function as the voice of the customer for internal alignment and project escalation as required.

A challenging and varied position, the ideal candidate will work with key subject matter experts both internally and externally to support and grow the Health Insights client base.

These responsibilities span the Providence St. Joseph Health & Services facilities throughout the enterprise. Duties will be performed in a manner that promotes project team success and reflects the Providence St. Joseph mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and integrity. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for managing multiple program & project for external clients simultaneously, to track and achieve specified contractual obligations on time

  • Work closely with the client SME’s, client project managers, Health Insights’ data analytics, Health Insights’ data engineering and PSJH clinician SME’s to develop global program & project plans.

  • Manage program & project plans to achieve project deliverables and works closely with Health Insights to ensure timely invoicing according to contractual requirements

  • Establish and maintains effective relationships with a broad internal customer base and gains their trust and respect while maintaining client confidentiality and patient privacy compliance.

  • Facilitate contract amendments as necessary for additional client requested work outside existing statement of work (SoW)

  • Maintain program & project documentation including meeting agendas and summaries, project work plans, and other artifacts supporting the work of client projects

  • Escalate issues as needed for additional input and resolution

  • Monitor results/satisfaction to ensure that programs & projects meet expectations and deliverables internally and externally

  • Develop, track and report KPI, metrics and global timelines to the Director of Client Services

  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness across the entire portfolio of Health Insights programs and projects.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 - 7 years of a proven track record managing multiple life science and/or pharmaceutical programs/projects simultaneously, and driving towards successful results.

  • Experience in a customer focused, deadline driven work environment requiring multi-tasking, flexibility, and self-directed work.

  • Excellent program & project management skills, including development of partnership strategy, work plans, metrics and monitoring processes.

  • Strong knowledge of project management including resource planning and scheduling, analysis skills, negotiation, facilitation, computer skills, and development of necessary documentation, testing and training.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • CRO/CMO.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying and leading initiatives in a global or matrixed/divisional, complex organization.
