Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Program Manager, CPS Cancer Institute to our location in Portland, OR, or Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Program Manager, CPS Cancer Institute to provide guidance and leadership for activities supporting system-wide Cancer under the direction of the GVP and Director, CPS Cancer Institute and in collaboration with the system-wide Cancer Leadership Council. Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to: active participation in and leadership of, the clinical focus groups and the quality and cost initiatives within those groups; facilitation of implementation plans for large-scale strategic initiatives under the direction of the GVP and Director; facilitation of the work with key physician leaders to help develop and implement clinical decision pathways using evidence-based research and expert consensus; assuring CFG workflow across multiple divisions and regions with the Director and GVP for the Cancer work flows within the focus groups. This role requires solid experience working directly with Cancer physicians and other clinicians, preferably in a service line system model. This role also requires some experience bringing clinicians together from across geographic boundaries to collaborate around clinical development and patient excellence supporting system and Cancer strategies and work initiatives. These responsibilities span the Providence St. Joseph Health System throughout all regions. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient and effective implementation of system-wide Cancer institute network via coordinated and structured approaches to ensure appropriate and timely results for all Cancer executive metrics, operating commitments and other work initiatives within the focus groups

  • Works effectively with regional/local key stakeholders to ensure integration of institute clinical services to end users based on the direction of the focus group initiatives

  • Effectively coordinates and summarizes data needs and works collaboratively with healthcare intelligence team, decision support teams and EPIC teams to obtain needed information and data analysis in support of the system wide Cancer strategies, in collaboration with the Focus Groups , Director and GVP

  • Partners with other divisions to assure that needed expertise is available from across the enterprise in support of effective and efficient delivery of institute focus group work in support of all Cancer patient populations

  • Provides support as requested by the Director and/or GVP for all activities associated with the DH Leadership Council, regional gap analysis preparation and tracking, coordination with Supply Chain and other divisions to provide information for formal presentations given by the GVP, Director, and/or DH co-MD leads

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters Degree

  • 3-5 years work experience in healthcare or a comparable background with clinical/project leadership experience.

  • Experience working with financial and clinical data within Cancer or other clinical specialties to discern focus of improvement activity.

  • Knowledge of current industry trends and new technological advances

  • Experience collaborating with a variety of Cancer management and leadership teams whether contract or private practice.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience co-leading groups of clinicians in support of clinical development to reach timely and effective/efficient outcomes.

  • Knowledge of project management, process improvement including CAP, Lean, Six Sigma is helpful.

  • Experience within Cancer clinical and/or administrative/operational roles.

  • Knowledge and successful experience working with clinicians in a Cancer program.

  • Experience and knowledge of Cancer care delivery models and technology
