Providence Health & Services Program Consultant, HR Strategic Initiatives - PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Program Consultant HR Strategic Initiatives to our location in Renton, WA. This is a fully benefited contract role for a year.
We are seeking a Program Consultant HR Strategic Initiatives to be responsible for delivering business value through coordination and support of initiatives, projects, programs, operational improvement and communications across the organization. All duties are to be carried out with the strategic direction of Human Resources and the overall vision of Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) in mind.
This position requires a background in HR Center of Expertise, operations or field HR in a dynamic, fast paced and cross functional environment. Additional work includes, but is not limited to: application of continuous quality improvement to HR processes and procedures, gap analyses, capacity planning and analytics, internal training and change management. Additionally, Program Consultant HR Strategic Initiatives - PSJH will lead one or multiple teams with specific assignments related to project assignments. Therefore, this position requires independent judgment and decision making capacity, with the willingness and ability to make sound recommendations to team members and PSJH leaders. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes operational and project team success and reflects the PSJH mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and stewardship.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support activities related to due diligence, analysis and design recommendations, focusing on critical path activities related to acquisitions and caregiver related activities.
Lead change management related to implementation of human resources projects or integrations including training and communication efforts.
Compile reports and data related to human resources integration, including: Process Gap analysis, cost models, risk analyses, and policy analyses.
Assist with all phases of HR acquisition work, following to completion analytical work, data collection, requirement gathering, data analysis on employee programs, and the interpretation of complex data.
Work closely with team members in the execution of programs and services, coordinating resources and developing tools to support the business, core leaders and caregivers.
Understand the acquisition structure, timing and process as laid out by broader due diligence and/or business teams and translated by the [program director].
Effectively carry out acquisition activities, programs or initiatives working with members from multiple organizations, cross-functional team(s) and key leadership within a matrix management organization.
Coordinate members from various functions: compensation, benefits, labor and employee relations, HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Service Center, HRIS, payroll and other pertinent stakeholders, in planning and execution of detailed project, communication, and change management plans.
Coordinate acquisition, integration, change management, and service delivery model activities among the HR cross functional project team.
Participate on cross-functional integration teams with other functional areas such as IT, Finance, Mission.
Support continuous improvement and the integration of best practices, streamlining and standardizing the work of people, processes and technology.
Champion Providence’s values and processes, to ensure potential acquisitions can be conducted within the framework of how Providence aims to treat its employees
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, other or equivalent educ/experience.
At least 4 years or more of progressive professional work experience.
At least 2 years of HR experience in an operational, support or center of expertise; responsibility providing direct support to a client group preferred.
Experience with acquisition work, or executing on multiple complex projects.
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data.
Independent judgment, decision making capacity, and the ability to make sound and supported recommendations to working groups and PSJH leaders.
Human Resources proficiency.
Ability to communicate complex thought verbally and in writing.
Strong presentation and training skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially excel, word, and powerpoint.
Ability to complete projects independently and on time.
Ability to plan, organize and effectively lead or participate in multi-disciplinary teams and projects, developing meaningful results within established timeframes.
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work with a wide variety of people, both within PSJH and external to the organization
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- PHR (or recognized equivalent)
