Providence Health & Services Principal Technical Program Manager in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Technical Program Manager to one of our locations in Redmond, WA, Seattle, WA, Renton, WA, Irvine, CA, or Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within Enterprise Information Security (EIS) who will have scope and responsibility across one or more business domains , like: Identity & Access, Authentication Services, Directory Services, Privileged Access Management, Governance Risk & Compliance and Data Protection. The scope for this role is both broad, across a business unit and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services. This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor. The Principle Technical Program Manager role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting-edge program management and a continuous improvement mindset and skillset to the organization. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery, while collaborating with the business, fellow IS organizations and the project/delivery teams.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develops and maintains service line roadmaps
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and optimize solutions to meet business strategies and objectives
Leads complex programs and projects, defining features and functions for implementation, ensuring all features deliver expected value and business objectives
Creates, evolves, and communicates specifications for feature areas that enable cohesive, compatible, iterable scenarios that span multiple feature teams and enable the multi-year vision.
Applies world-class technical, functional and caregiver/partner knowledge to respond to trends and opportunities.
Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for feature areas.
Participates in design, code, and test planning and reviews across the feature area, understands the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them.
Anticipates risks and issues and takes preventative actions.
Facilitate and coordinate cross program and project dependencies
Partners with the field to ensure PSJH stakeholder readiness.
Identifies multi-solution/service dependency issues and scheduling priorities, and establishes milestone exit criteria.
Consistently contribute key ideas that support and enable the vision within Enterprise Cybersecurity
Provide thought leadership and mentors team members
Reviews and contributes to the designs of peers.
Ensures that scenarios are effectively explained and enabled across stakeholder, partner, and caregiver messaging strategies.
Identifies unaddressed issues and resolves, escalates, or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest level of quality.
Leads with collaboration, manages key stakeholders, removes roadblocks, and drives overall quality project delivery.
Has a sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, completeness, and resulting user experience for the life of the solution/service.
Uses experience and expertise to improve design templates and process.
Required qualifications for this positions include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
8 years leadership experience, leading technical teams in a complex and fast past moving environment.
Preffered qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
5 years healthcare experience.
