Providence is calling a Principal Consultant Master Data Management Strategy – PSJH to Providence Health & Services in either Renton, WA, Beaverton, OR, Portland, OR or Anaheim, CA.
We are seeking a Principal Consultant Master Data Management Strategy – PSJH to be responsible for evangelizing and operationalizing data stewardship across the organization. This includes integrating Enterprise Golden Records, Source of Truth, and Data standards into end user workflow, creating, documenting and gaining agreement on metadata, driving accountability of workflow through policies and procedures, measuring and driving improvement in data quality for core data elements and reducing duplicates for our mastered data.
Principal Consultant MDM Strategy is a key in defining a data culture that aligns with and further enables Healthcare Intelligence growth and quality. This position requires strong business acumen and technical skills that, in combination, ensures development of well-balanced processes and solutions that deliver material organizational value.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
The Data Governance Leader is responsible for developing and managing enterprise data policies, standards, and processes
Implement Enterprise Data Strategy that addresses data issues/topics relevant to PSJH such as Systems of Record, Data Sourcing, Master Data, Metadata, Data Governance and Data Quality.
Facilitate adoption of the Enterprise Data Governance Policies, Procedures, and Standards by providing an advisory and oversight function for all data-centric business and technology initiatives, projects and/or programs
Monitors compliance of enterprise data policies across the organization to ensure high quality and available data within the organization.
Participate in the effort to ensure that the Enterprise Data Strategy aligns organizational structure of PSJH
Education PSJH associates at all levels regarding the role and purpose of the Enterprise Data Strategy.
Guide and Track adoption and buy-in of the Enterprise Data Strategy from data stakeholders, management, executives and business partners from across PSJH.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management, MIS, Strategy, Policy Administration, and/or other data-related or compliance fields Or equivalent educ/experience.
8 years Progressive experience managing complex IT programs and/or projects required including Data Governance and Master Data Management implementations.
8 years Experience Documenting Workflow and Driving Change management.
8 years Proven Experience Documenting Technical User Requirments in a Clinical/Operational Setting.
5 years Implementing Data Governance Program.
8 years Enterprise Data Warehouse and/or Master Data Management (MDM) - functional and/or technical experiences.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
Project Management skills-ability to manage complex data oriented programs to deliver on-time results and recommendations for action/next steps
A proven track record of working with Senior and C-level executives
Strong understanding of operational data concepts and their usage
Experience establishing or developing enterprise or solution architecture functions
Experience Writing Policies and Procedures and Diagram workflows
Driving change for data governance including project/program management, change management and change readiness, software development life cycle methodologies, and data quality
Knowledge of master data technology initiatives and core data management strategies/best practices.
Knowledge of and experience with enterprise source systems and of systems that consume master & reference data, including CRM, ERP and Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence
Experience in dealing metadata and reference data software packages, and architecture.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Clinical, Informatics or other Business discipline.
1 year ITILv3 and/or Lean Six Sigma ITILv3 and/or Lean Six Sigma.
