Providence Payroll Tax Analyst PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Payroll Tax Analyst PSJH to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst PSJH to be responsible for the administration of federal, multi-state, local, employee and employer payroll taxes, including research, analysis, data set-up, reconciliations, and preparation of tax returns in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare third party vendor payments for deferred compensation and miscellaneous payroll deductions.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Prepares bi-weekly Payroll tax balancing and submit reports to outsourced tax vendor.
Performs bi-weekly internal Payroll tax audits and process tax adjustments as needed to ensure accurate quarterly tax reporting for federal, state and local tax returns including unemployment, state/local withholding and annual returns.
Review/audit Federal 941/940 tax returns and submit quarterly reports to outsourced tax vendor.
Review/audit quarterly reports for unemployment, state/local withholding and annual returns; submit quarterly tax reports to outsourced tax vendors.
Analyze data and prepare W2’s.
Performs testing of all Payroll tax system updates.
Research all state & local tax issues as required.
Monitor & complete all state tax registrations required.
Maintains confidentiality of records, patient, employee or medical center information at all times. Ensures all information and conversations regarding patients and employees are secured from general public access.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
3 years payroll tax experience for a large, multi-state employer.
1 year accounting experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliation.
1 year payroll processing experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Healthcare experience.
