Providence Health & Services Operations Analyst in Renton, Washington


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Operations Analyst PSJH to our location in Renton, WA.

We are seeking an Operations Analyst to be responsible for the development of business design changes related to current and strategic tactics to improve performance. The Operations Analyst must be able to understand organizational strategies and ensure alignment of the metrics with the strategy for improvement opportunity identification. This position requires ongoing relationships with caregivers at all levels across Express Care. The Operations Analyst will actively participate in operational improvement projects and priorities as assigned.This position performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects Providence Health & Services mission and philosophy.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence to ensure data and dashboards are presented in an accurate and easily digestible format.

  • Analyze and report on service delivery and performance metrics in a proactive and timely manner, taking initiative to identify trends/issues and recommend changes for improvement.

  • Work with Express Care Management to create process improvement and implementation strategies for operational improvement. Provide analysis, production support and evaluation of the effectiveness of above strategies and recommend improvements relating to metrics, staffing etc.

  • Provides project management support for medium-size reporting and operations projects.

  • Partners with team to understand the current workflows and practices that result in the data in reports. Collaborates on ways to improve consistency of data in the system.

  • Collaborates with Healthcare Intelligence on the development of new, innovative reporting and analytics solutions to help adapt to the changing healthcare environment and new models of care. Works with Healthcare Intelligence to solve issues or problems with existing reports.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Information Services

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or field.

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of automated reporting tools.

  • Experience in defining and modifying measurement systems in response to changes in organizational goals or process changes.

  • Strong knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and databases.

  • Skilled in the methods and tools for process mapping, process improvement, and ability to apply this knowledge during operational and project related activities.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Extensive experience with Epic, Vantage or InfoView.
