Providence is calling for an Institutional Review Board Committee Analyst to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking an Institutional Review Board Committee Analyst to
process full-board reviews, adverse events, protocol modifications, informed consent forms, and study violations. As an IRB expert, this position serves as a resource to individuals conducting research within the health system. Responsible for analyzing and reviewing all regulatory applications and activities related to human subjects research projects submitted for Institutional Review Board (IRB) analysis, and providing staff support to the IRB members. Also serves as liaison between the IRB and researchers to assure compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Conducts pre-review of studies submitted to the IRB to ensure that all components of protocols and consent forms are included.
Provides staff support to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) members.
Coordinates post-review communications to ensure all that all identified contingencies are addressed.
Works to ensure that IRB members, reviewers, and consultants get all materials necessary to conduct an appropriate review.
Works to maintain compliance with IRB target metrics.
Consolidates reviewer comments into a clear and concise communication to investigators and works with IRB managers to work towards study approval.
Collaborates with other IRB personnel to clarify questions/concerns and provide required study documentation.
Participates in and provides IRB information for all regulatory audits.
Establishes positive relationships with IRB members, regulatory staff, management, and researchers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
3 years IRB-related activities or clinical trials/research
3 years Certified IRB Professional (CIP)
Ability to follow through with assignments and prioritize work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records with tact and discretion
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good time management and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate scientific, legal or business discipline or equivalent educ/experience
2 years experience working in an electronic IRB
