Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Executive Director, Growth and Development / Ambulatory Care Network to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking an Executive Director, Growth and Development / Ambulatory Care Network to be a key leader in the formation, development and operationalization of an enterprise wide ambulatory network within the Providence St. Joseph Health system. The Executive Director has broad accountability for leading long-term growth of the Ambulatory Care Network within Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH). The Executive Director is responsible for developing and executing on strategic & tactical initiatives including industry analysis, competitor analysis, strategic planning, and business plan development, support of various affiliations, transactions and partnerships and providing complex strategic analysis to guide this work. This position will need to work within a complex organizational structure with minimal direction and in a manner that balances achievement of strategic and operational goals while maintaining effective relationships with other business divisions.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Serves as a transformational member of the Ambulatory Care leadership team; working collaboratively to achieve strategic and operational goals as outlined in the integrated strategic and financial plan and as directed by the GVP-Ambulatory Care Network Division.
Performs Industry segment analysis and strategy development including industry analysis and research, competitor analysis, PSJH position within that industry, and will develop and lead a routine industry scan and portfolio review process.
Provides leadership for the development and management of an integrated ambulatory network strategy at both the system and regional levels in order to maximize the value of ambulatory assets across the entire health system. Encouraged to think creatively about markets and adjacencies in which PSJH operates and recommend new attractive business areas where it can create strategic affiliations.
Accountable for overall sucessfull implementation of significant (>$50M in value) transactions / affiliations and related business development efforts including sourcing and evaluating potential companies to meet needs, value proposition development , business plan development and analysis, financial and business due diligence, project management and internal review processes, formulate RFP responses and support negotiation and review of deal documents including letter of intents, purchase agreements, operating agreements, management services agreements, or other agreements related to acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures
Collaborates in the development of strategies including areas such as finance, operations, payor relationships, joint ventures, acquisitions, clinical services, organic/inorganic growth and the translation of those strategies into effective business plans and objectives.
Navigates relationships at all levels within a complex, relationship-based organization; utilizing direct and indirect influence to improve alignment, management, and performance of assets.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or a related field.
10 years Healthcare experience, preferably in roles representing a broad range of experience across virtual, retail, ambulatory, inpatient delivery and health plans.
Demonstrated experience in Strategy, Business Development and Mergers / Affiliations.
10 years working as part of a large, multi-product/multi-market, geographically dispersed organization.
Knowledge of healthcare (virtual, retail, ambulatory, in patient, health plan) strategies, economics, technologies and terminologies; including regional nuances and where industry segments complement and overlap
Knowledge of changing trends in the delivery of virtual, retail and ambulatory services, and the ability to report on emerging issues that may affect organization.
Knowledge of emerging issues and changing trends within the industry that may affect the organizations; and ability to develop comprehensive recommendations that include the engagement of consumers relating to new products and services.
Able to skillfully gather and analyst information, apply independent judgment in making decisions, take action in a timely manner, and lead transformation through others.
Exhibits outstanding leadership and organizational skills and the ability to effectively role model, functions and lead projects to success in a complex and highly-matrixed environment.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in business, health care or a related field.
5 years working in collaboration with physicians to achieve demonstrated success in achieving strategic goals.
