Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Executive Director, Development Operations Health Insights to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking an Executive Director, Development Operations Health Insights to provide executive guidance and leadership to the activities of the Health Insights Department of PSJH-E. The Executive Director of Dev Ops is accountable for assessing, planning, developing and implementing strategies and tactics to develop & grow profitable relationships with external biopharma customers, device manufactures, CRO’s, etc. and internal PSJH customers across the enterprise. The Executive Director must have expertise to lead organizational strategy with the result of furthering the long-term revenue goals of both PSJH-E and PSJH. The Executive Director is also responsible for the following:
Develop and execute an enterprise wide data business model
Staff leadership positions within Health Insights department
Optimize and grow the clinical trial opportunities within PSJH
Communicate with top level leadership in PSJH & PSJH-E (as well as with external clients)
Set the rhythm of business for the Health Insights department
In addition, this leader is expected to be an innovator who has demonstrated ability to create a strategic plans and communicate it throughout the enterprise. The Executive Director must have proven skills (e.g. operations and project management background) of matrix leadership to be successful in the creation and growth of this work while maintaining the focus on the external customer and associated contractual obligations. This role requires an adept knowledge of the biopharma industry including commercialization and research activities as well as deep knowledge of patient care (including directly working with clinician leaders, preferably in a strategic development / launch of new service line setting). These responsibilities span the Providence St. Joseph Health and Providence St. Joseph Health & Services - Enterprise facilities throughout all regions. This leader will perform all duties in a manner that promotes project team success and reflects the Providence St. Joseph mission, philosophy, and core values of dignity, compassion, justice, excellence and integrity.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction and support in the organization of the Health Insights department of PSJH-E as well as driving the desired annual revenue and client milestones
Lead organizational capabilities to optimize PSJH clinical data assets and builds a nationally recognized team of data analysts and engineers
Drive year over year revenue growth to sustain the mission to our patients and their communities
Participate and assist in the development of PSJH-E strategic initiatives
Define performance standards, metrics and action plans that can be tracked against contracted timelines and milestones
Actively cultivate technology and research platforms for Health Insights to optimize clinical trials enrollment and accrual across PSJH
Responsible for communication of Health Insights contracting, dashboard and risks to leadership across the enterprise
Responsible for the development and implementation of the system wide data business model for external contracting to ensure compliance and revenue requirements
Partner with other clinical divisions to assures that needed expertise is available from across the enterprise
Ensure the effective use of resources by building strong relationships internally as well externally
Provide consultation to PSJH as needed for regional research data needs
Demonstrate personal values that are compatible with the values of Providence St Joseph Health and the ability to provide effective leadership within a mission driven organization.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
12 or more years related work experience in pharmaceutical & clinical development or a comparable background that includes program leadership experience.
Must possess working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles, information systems, and cost management. Can effectively adapt to constant changing business healthcare environment.
Must understand and be comfortable with a highly matrixed organization.
Must be able to effectively lead multi-disciplinary data work groups, prioritize work and organize it in a timely manner.
