Providence Health & Services Dietitian in Renton, Washington


Providence is calling a Dietitian (Rehabilitation, Day Shift, 0.6 FTE) to ElderPlace in Kent, Washington.

We are seeking an experienced and independent Registered Dietitian to join our team of caregivers who provide assessment, treatment and education in both clinic and home based settings. RDs are an integral part of the ElderPlace program, working to maintain participants optimal nutrition status in community based settings.

This is a part-time position which will include 24 hours per week.

The main location for this position will be in Kent, WA.

In this position you will:

  • Assess the nutritional status and provides nutrition intervention to participants and their families/caregivers, including diet education.

  • Screen participants for nutritional risk and malnutrition.

  • Develop and present dietary plans of care as part of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

  • Provide nutrition consults/assessments as requested by other IDT members.

  • Coordinate nutritional care with caregivers in multiple community settings, including home care workers, adult family homes, nursing homes and dialysis centers as needed.

  • Provide education to participants and caregivers in diet recommendations, food textures and use of supplements.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics

  • Current Washington State Registered Dietitian

  • 1 year experience as a clinical dietitian working with a geriatric population

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics

  • Current Driver License

  • Proof of current automobile insurance

  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
