Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Contract Administrator, Sourcing to our Southgate 1 location in Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Contract Administrator to be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Purchase Service Contract Team. It is responsible for supporting the preparation vendor negotiations, and administering multiple contracts pertaining to the various key service suppliers. This would include working with the contract through all phases until completion (pre-proposal through closeout) with a variety of suppliers. The incumbent performs risk assessments of proposal/contract terms and conditions. They will also be responsible to formulate and execute strategies to minimize potential risks and maximize value and expenditure to the business. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Purchase Service and IT Contracting.

Purchase Service Contracting is a department of Strategic Sourcing comprised of multiple departments supporting our enterprise-wide Purchase Service Contract infrastructure. Its mission is to strengthen our One Ministry Committed to Excellence by delivering a robust foundation of common non-clinical product and services

Purchase Service Contracting is a group within Strategic Sourcing that provides contract negotiation leadership, development and management services and counsel on matters for the Providence Health & Services enterprise. Purchase Service Contracting services are provided according to enterprise and regional business need with priority placed on mitigating risk to the organization and legal and regulatory requirements, as well as stewardship.

The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting timely and comprehensive negotiation for purchased Services and non-clinical supplies and services agreements.

  • Supporting and maintaining information management and reporting systems which support vendor value management programs;

  • Providing support to the day to day operations of the Purchase Service Contract Team.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Contract Administrator reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Purchase Service Contracting and Purchase Service Contracting. Contract Administrator will keep the Sr. Manager apprised as to the day to day operation of the Purchase Service Contract Team.

  • The Contract Administrator will support program business area goals and front-end strategic assessments of business pursuits. Takes a support role in the preparation of responses to solicitations.

  • Supports business partners, management, and program teams in the resolution of issues, secure approvals, and enforce successful contract execution; serves as a strategic owner for suppliers during all phases of the contracting process. Ensures adherence to all contracting process.

  • Ensure proper loading of contracted pricing and reviews for accuracy over course of contract life.

  • Influences the reduction of unnecessary variation and system-wide standardization through coordination of contracting/purchasing activities and collaboration with key operations leaders across PSJH.

  • Communicates with internal stakeholders, including Staff and Office of Legal Affairs to ensure that individual client’s needs and company goals are being supported and addressed.

  • Develop and maintain contract savings and tracking reporting.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of Region or enterprise level strategic sourcing or experience in a healthcare setting.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • CertifiedMaterials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
