Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Continuous Improvement Consultant II – PSMS to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Consultant II – PSMS to partner with executives, core leaders and caregivers to facilitate value improvement (quality / cost) through the application of improvement science and change management methodologies. Facilitates, trains and coaches executives, core leaders and caregivers regarding process and system improvement including how to spread and scale effective practices across multiple ministries/regions. These individuals are able to facilitate the implementation of breakthrough strategies across ministries/regions and functional boundaries that result in value improvement. These individuals are able to motivate and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement which includes all levels of the organization. They perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence St Joseph Health mission and core values.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Trains and coaches others in improvement science methodologies and facilitates the application of these methodologies supporting a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization across PSJH.
Responsible for facilitating the learning and/or application of improvement science(s) by modeling, facilitating improvement initiatives. Conducts clear and concise meetings and education/training.
Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision. Works closely with the Executive Team, Quality/Improvement Leader(s), and Core Leaders to identify and resolve barriers to work completion. Keeps the group apprised of status and progress to objective and key milestones. Escalates issues as needed for additional input and resolution.
Participates in the development of and/or implementation of performance improvement plans at the PSJH system level.
Ability to perform and/or coach multiple initiatives at a time.
Applies knowledge/expertise in improvement science methodology to identify, facilitate, and consult with others for improvement projects, training, coaching and ongoing initiatives throughout the organization. Maintains knowledge regarding current developments/best practices in improvement science and change management.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare professional or engineering Or equivalent educ/experience.
Coursework/Training in Improvement Science and Change Management.
6 years experience with applying, and improvement science and change management methods.
Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach
Demonstrated skills in project plan design and implementation; directing projects, coordinating the work of operational teams and managing project budgets.
1 year Experience teaching and coaching improvement science and/or change management.
Driver's license or reliable transportation.
Travel up to 50%
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years managing personnel.
1 year knowledge of health care quality, regulatory and risk management.
Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Certified in Health Care Quality
