Providence Health & Services Communications Manager PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Communications Manager PSJH to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Communications Manager to engage in internal/external issues and reputation management and provide organization-wide strategy, planning and execution of initiatives in support of Providence’s strategic priorities and national reputation. This role will support communication to all Providence audiences, spanning multiple regions, facilities and business units.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support the strategy, planning and execution of communication plans; programs; initiatives; and campaigns related to issues and reputation management, with a focus on social responsibility and community partnership programs.
Oversee, manage and measure effectiveness of projects that include employee/caregiver communication, executive communication and thought leadership, public relations/media relations, advocacy, community engagement and social media/influencer strategies.
In partnership with the Community Partnerships team, lead the development of the Annual Report to the Community, which showcases the many ways our family of organizations serves and benefits the communities we serve.
Promote, protect, reinforce and grow the organizational voice, narrative and reputation of Providence and our family of organizations through strategic issues and reputation management and communication.
Create and implement high-quality issues and reputation management and communication strategies, plans and supporting materials.
Monitor and follow industry trends to provide insights and actionable recommendations for proactive and reactive issues and reputation management.
Work effectively, collaboratively and nimbly with cross-functional teams at the system and regional levels to support issues and reputation management initiatives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism, business administration or related field.
Minimum of five(5) years of experience in corporate communication, integrated communication, community engagement or related filed.
Experience working in matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams, and regulated industry.
Ability to create strong, strategic relationships with peers, executives and leadership at the organizational and regional/local levels, and external stakeholders.
Proficient in social and digital communication tools used to monitor and engage with audiences.
Ability to drive strategic, powerful messaging in support of a brand position.
Agility and flexibility in coordinating multiple projects.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge of integrated health care and communication practices.
Knowledge of corporate social responsibility practices and models.
Familiarity with non-profit operations.
