Providence Health & Services Caregiver Benefits Analyst - PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Caregiver Benefits Analyst PSJH to our location in Renton, WA OR Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Caregiver Benefits Analyst PSJH to provide accurate benefit plan explanation, provide customer service to caregivers and managers, and execute administration/plan design functions for a multi-state, multi-line organization. The incumbent will participate in benefits projects and assist the Sr. Benefits Analyst and Benefits Manager with implementation of benefits program changes/design. This position will handle sensitive benefit issues. The incumbent will be responsible for working with all-benefits related vendors, carriers, brokers and consultants system-wide, trouble-shooting issues and participating in root cause analysis of issues.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for management of vendor partner administration of benefits programs. Assist in the development of process, workflow and program improvements with vendors and local HR staff for review and consideration/implementation watching for data integrity issues and compliance.
Work with the Benefits Manager in delivering a positive caregiver experience in a timely and accurate annual open enrollment. Support updates to plan specification documents to reflect plan changes, as well as participate in testing plan build of the enrollment system. Work with vendor partners to update file feeds, plan changes, network updates and customer service representative training in collaboration with . Responsibilities will include meeting assigned project plan timelines, communications, coordination of plan document updates and vendor management.
Develop subject matter and process expertise. Works systematically to resolve problems, and identify and anticipate issues. Manages issues to completion, engaging additional resources as needed.
Develop communications in collaboration with Sr. Benefits Analyst to inform caregivers of the benefits program available to them, the general rules and necessary actions as well the timing for action. Participate in informative presentations for our HR community.
Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure timely, equitable, courteous, professional and compliant resolutions. Ensure the Benefit Service Center vendor partner is providing professional, accurate and timely responses to caregivers and their customers, and informs Benefits of any trending issues from caregiver calls or AskHR tickets.
Achieve project plan timelines and milestones as defined as well as contributing to the creation of the project plan based on subject matter expertise. Creating a self-contained project plan for smaller projects, integrating the milestones into the workflow managed by the Sr. Project Manager, Benefits to keep stakeholders informed in a timely manner and delivering the project on time and on budget.
Support Sr. Benefits Analyst by providing vendor report data for use in evaluating plan performance and market competitiveness based on vendor book of business.
Support Sr. Benefits Analyst in responding to union requests for information to provide consistent and appropriate information to the various union groups within the system. Notify team of changes which impact programming.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or HR related field of study OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years of experience in the development, analysis and support of benefits programs and processes
Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach
Effective written communication skills as appropriate for the needs of the audience
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met and the work is successfully completed within deadlines
Working knowledge of desktop software applications (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
PHR, CEBS, CBP, HIA, GBA certification
1 year of project management or coordination experience.
1 year in a corporate role overseeing benefits for system with subsidiaries/divisions
1 year in health care and/or a union environment
