Providence AVP, Supply Chain Operations in Renton, Washington
We are seeking a AVP, Supply Chain Operations in Renton, WA to represent and embody the SCM Careism “Filling the hands that heal” as the SCM vivid description of how we meet our objective to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, along with the overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.
In this position the AVP, Supply Chain Operations will:
Maintain a region team operating culture which is disciplined, accountable, consistent with system supply chain programs, cost-effective, collaborative, and ensures that patient and caregiver well-being and safety are paramount at all times.
Ensure the integration of system wide quality, service and efficiency improvement initiatives into day-to-day ministry and region supply chain operations.
Implement and execute on performance standards, metrics and action plans that can be tracked against timelines to evaluate and improve organizational performance.
Assess region or local policies and procedures for system wide compliance and standardization and ensures operational risks are minimized and if required determines appropriate risk management strategies.
Assure effective execution of business and supply chain initiatives for each region served by aligning system wide strategies with local region or ministry business needs.
Recruit and develop high-performance leadership teams, and develops a climate which builds employee commitment and reinforces high performance standards.
Required experience/education for this position include:
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or an equivalent related BA/BS degree or has demonstrated required skills in a similar field or has equivalent leadership and management experience.
5 years of Supply Chain Director-level experience in a healthcare setting, and 10 years of total supply chain management experience.
Experience in managing large complex teams at multiple acute-care hospital site locations with a combined population of over approximately 80 people.
Previous leadership in designing, establishing, and maintaining an organizational operating structure and staffing to effectively accomplish enterprise goals, objectives and financial targets.
Experience working in a regulated environment with governmental agencies.
Experience in managing an operating budget of at least $6 million annually.
Knowledge of supply chain and healthcare operations best practices and the ability to execute those strategies as outlined and directed by the Assistant Vice President.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Preferred experience/education for this position include:
Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Certification in Supply Chain Management from a professional organization such as Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or Certified Supply Chain Specialist (CSCS) from the International Association of Procurement and Market Research or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from the Association for Operations Management or from a similar organization.
certification in lean or six sigma from a training provider accredited by either the Council for Six Sigma Certification or the International Association for Six Sigma Certification.
