Providence is calling a Admissions Clerk (Admissions Dept, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington.

Schedule: Thursday through Monday (8am to 5pm)
In this position you will:
Download referrals from the 3 different referral sources and gather the faxes that come in, check for medication list and email to Providence pharmacy, if there are IV medications send to Infusion Pharmacy for price.
Verify the Available and Occupied Beds report. Check the rooms for patient readiness. Scan and email report to appropriate people.
Call insurance companies for authorization for skilled nursing stay and follow up until authorization has been received. Day after patient arrives print therapy evaluations and fax to insurance.
Provide administrative support to the admission’s department, including answering phones, creating correspondence and reports as needed.
Interact with patients/residents/families as necessary to ensure admission’s paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
Provide tours as requested.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with using general office equipment, including fax machines, copiers and computers
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Availability to work flexible hours and different shift times

Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington compassionately serves people of all ages and faiths. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home in “neighborhoods” and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
